What’s my expertise?
Last 5 years I work for Seznam.cz which is Czech Search engine and media house and there I’m do SEO on zbozi.cz (price comparions site) and mapy.cz (travell maps app) which are one of biggest sites in Czech Republic. Before Seznam I’ve worked for 3 years in SEO agencies on various clients. Since we have ChatGPT I’m focusing also a lot of on AI and implementation it into processes.
Differences of Czech SEO market
There are few differences which you will face if you came on Czech SEO market and that should be interesting for you. So I’ll write them right here so you can think about them because it may make a difference in your decision. 🙂
Czech SEO agency or freelancer
Usually you find agency I think but Czechia is different because throughout history, many skilled people have gone freelance, so the Czech Republic is a bit unique in that it has only a few SEO agencies and then a lot of skilled freelancers.
Average price is around 1 250 – 2 000 CZK per hour
Your price expectations should be around 1 250 and 2 000 CZK per hour work of experienced SEO’s or the same price in Euros which is between 50 and 80 EUR.
Seznam as second Search Engine
Czech Republic is one of countries where we have two (or three if you count Bing) search engines. Of course Google has majority of the market with like 75 – 80%. Seznam has like 10 – 20% depends on niche and rest is Bing and other search engines.

Usually when I’m speaking with someone in our community then we agree that the list has older users. So if your product is targeting „older-people“ then Seznam has to been somehow in our market strategy.
